Alexandra Oliver currently works as the Development and Communications Specialist for The Forbes Fund, a sector of the Pittsburgh Foundation. Prior to obtaining this position in January 2017, Alex worked as a development writer and a web content manager.

"Social media has made the world a lot smaller."

One of Alex's favorite thing about social media is that she is able to stay in touch with

current affairs. She also likes that it provides an opportunity to deepen

relationships with people that she is already friends with. 

"It's not that social media is inauthentic,

but that it's more performative."​
